Can't you just readd the songs? The spelling and album stuff is retained in the iTunes library.

whatsit called when you revert back to how your computer was before?

i think its called system restore. do that.

I have no opinion on this matter.

Shouldn't the files all be in the trash bin if you didn't empty it?

And since you're using Mac, there's a program called Time Machine on it; you can restore your files, although some may be corrupted.

i dont have time machine set up so so much for that. I have sentui, for some reason its not transferring the files onto itunes, ill figure it out later, it lets me play songs on my ipod through my laptops speakers on a little player it has, so thats good enough for now.

Can't you just restore it all from your recycle bin? That seems logical.

I emptied the trash.

You can copy your ipod to your computer, but it will wipe any new itunes files.

Plug in your ipod and it should give you the options to copy ipod to pc and delete pc files, or vice versa.

I don't know...

You should just be able to plug in your Ipod and everything should go back.

Time machine?

Or is it an old mac?

I'm sorry for your loss though

Get winamp. With winamp, you can copy and paste off and onto your ipod.

That's true. My friend has been asking to borrow my iPod so he can just port all the songs on it to his winamp.

He ain't gettin my hard-earned songs, and by earned I mean endless hours scouring the internet for free obscure mp3s.

touch Copy, google it.
I used it when my old mac broke, and i had to stick all my ipod music on my new one.
It cost about $15, something like that, but it works an absolute treat, saves all your play counts and everything, its briliant.

On your user bar on the top there should be a clock-like symbol. Click it. And go to "enter time machine"
This should take you to a time line looking screen. Select a date before you deleted everything and choose restore on the bottom right corner. (Mac OS X)
You should be good after..
unless you don't back up your mac..
