I have a Dell Latitude D505.
It has 256mb of memory and really runs slow.
I was wondering if I could invest some money and upgrade this laptop, or would it be a waste of time/money. I want to upgrade the RAM to 1gig and it also only has a 30GB harddrive. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what would be the best way to spend my money on this laptop..and links to things to buy would be helpful. (preferably Circuit City or Best Buy as I don't like to order online)

I would have thought its probably better to just invest in a more up to day laptop?
although you may want to wait for some more knowledgable answers

I'd say invest in a new laptop or personally I'd go for a new desktop.

Your laptop is dated, a 30gb hard drive isn't great, and using external HD's to back up your data takes away the portability.

To summarise, buy a desktop
