wow, lord forbid i get an answer
I just play those styles rolled into one. and for some reason the music industry clumps them all into "Prog-Indie" or "Prog-Punk" genres.

Well, I'll try and help by suggesting a wah pedal, or maybe a chorus. I've never heard of those bands, so I can't really suggest something to get their sound. However, I'd say a wah or a chorus are pretty universal.

Also, how's the Digitech Flanger? I'm a bit of a Digitech fan-boy, and that's like the one pedal of their's I haven't been able to get my hands on to try.

Sorry for the slight randomness.

Yeah I was thinkin on a wah. any suggestions on what I should get?
And to answer your question the Digitech flange is amazing. I love it. It can go from taking over your sound to subtle with a few know twists. and its cheap!

Well, I wouldn't suggest a Dunlop original. Mine broke in less than three months. Just stopped working. For your budget I could suggest a Dunlop 535Q, the Vox Clyde McCoy wah, or my personal favorite... the Ibanez Weeping Demon. But that's for higher gain stuff. Like I said, I don't know the bands, so I'm trying to cover a little of everything.
#7
what amp do you play through?
all of those bands have very distinct crunch to their tone

maybe a tube screamer
in your budget, bad monkey... cant think of any others right now
#8
I play through a Fender MetalHead with a Behringer 4x12.
My amp has the perfect crunch tone for what I play.
I should have added that I don't really want a distortion, Fuzz or Overdrive pedal.

Yeah my dunlop original did the same thing.
so I ended up gutting it rebuilding everything, added every mod I could do and trading it for the DD-6. How is the sweep of the weeping demon?

You know Dragonforce's 'Through the Fire and Flames' solo? Listen to the wah in that.

At least that's what I got out of it when I tried it. It's a pretty decent sweep. Quite vocal sounding, actually.

But this thing will, under no circumstances, do the whole porno wah thing. So if that's something you'd be hoping to do with a wah, for whatEVER reasons you may have, I'd get the 535. Otherwise, can't really go wrong with the Demon.

I'd also look into the Morley Bad Horsey if you're going that route. It's a switchless wah that sounds pretty badass as well.

Oh, and about the Crybaby. You wouldn't happen to know what happened to make it do that, would you? I'd really like to fix it and sell it.

I have no idea what makes the wah do that.
I looked up the features of the Weeping Demon and it looks good.
I think thats what I'm going to get

Have you tried the Digitech Flanger on bass? because I'm getting one for free and really need a flanger for my bass.

Interesting. It turns out that there are people on the forum who play an upright bass. I'll make a note of that.

*makes note*

*puts note on wall*

*stares at note for a minute*

*sits back down and resumes doing what I was doing*

I think they have a bass model for the Flanger, as for the rest of their pedals. I don't know how using the guitar flanger on a bass would work.
#14
I've always found guitar effects work fairly well on bass.

As for the TS, i'm going to suggest a wah. Although i love my cry baby original, i've had it for over a year, and has not let me down to date. and it does get a fair bit of bashing.
But the morley bad horsie is worth a look at aswell.

If you can try a few out, tht'll be best.
#15
I tried the flanger with a bass, the effect wasn't as dramatic as with a guitar but it sounded good.
As for the wahs, has anyone played the Dimbag one?
Oh and I got $55 more dollars.

The dimebag is one of the better dunlop wahs. It's got tons of power and the volume boost is very useable. It's very similar to the 535q
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

I'm pretty sure it can. I think it's just an 18v 535q with a volume boost. The 18v is so It can do high gain I believe.

well i have a ruby wah pedal (ruby ruby ruby ruby!!) which is pretty gud if u play around with which order it is plugged into the amp/guitar. From what i have heard, a Cry Baby seems to be the best investment, but they are pretty expensive (my ruby was £75), but there are a fair few around, so i dont know which is THE best or cheapest.
