Hey, here's a song that we recorded at a band practice, i managed to salvage it (recording was crap) with some over dubbing. The vocals couldn't really be helped and sound distant but hey-ho.

Its called firefight on www.myspace.com/markyeomanmusic

the riff sounds like a wolfmother riff, which is a drawback, but any comments would be appreciated.

I dig the riff, man. Obviously (as you stated) the production value doesn't reflect the song very well. I think the distortion on the guitars should be put down a little bit. I think this could be a good fist pumping song though. I like the vocalist, I think on some points he should tone it down a bit. The classic rock shrieks are brilliant, but sometimes it turns a bit to 'shouty', almost to the point of a whine. Other than that minor glitch (which really is minor), I like it.

Crit mine?

Really old school sound, you can tell by your influences, which is not a bad thing, but you do have to be careful. Reminds me a lot of wolfmother. I don't know if you would consider that a compliment or not, but its a cool song. Your voice fits the style of the song. I like the bouncy vibe I get from it, just a fun song.

Listening as I crit,

Cool riff to start. Definately sounds like wolfmother a bit, but its interesting. Your voice suits it perfectly, you stay in tune from what I can hear. Dude this is actually amazing, your voice is sick and the guitar kicks it. Get a good recording of this, I want to download it, seriously.

Mind re-checking out my song? i used my good equipment just now
