I currently play out of a B-52 AT112 (tube) and I'm looking for an overdrive/distortion pedal to fatten up my tone a bit towards more modern metal/hardcore. Something that sounds like As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks

Dude, no.

I'd recommend the Bad Monkey - cheap and does it job very well!
It fattens up the tone nicely, and the bass control is incredibly responsive, providing a HUGE boost when dimed .

Fail. I have a Maxon OD808. It RULES. Both the guitar players from AILD use it. Awesome overdrive pedal. Get one, you'll love it. Bad Monkey is good idea too @ half the price of the Maxon...

CMatmods Signadrive
Fulltone OCD
Homebrew PowerSquealer
Maxon OD808

these all are better than the bad monkey, and are better for what you are playing.

Voodoo Lab Sparkle drive... LOVE IT
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

This is my first pedal.... I imagine its supposed to run with my gain settings already sorta high where they are right now and it'll boost it a bit?
