why would marshall charge so much for such a crappy amp and why did i buy it

maybe i was drunk

I'm planning on selling it on ebay to some poor unsuspecting victim and buying a decent amp for metal and gigging any suggestions??

500 pounds will get you a good chunk of amp if i'm not mistaken.. what kinda metal style are you playing?

80's? death? melodic? etc..

No. Some of your tone comes from your hands. Your hand can shape your tone, but the most important factor is the amp.

only reason i can think you bought it is the marshall name badge... in which case a used JCM 800 or 900 would suit you, or a DLS401, or the TSL equivalent but used. All of those are in your price range

you will have to tell us what kind of sound you want or what you like for anyone to give you any better suggestions
