get the blackheart for the same price. It's all tube and MUCH better sounding Spiders suck!
#5
it won't really be any better than your MG..
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Well im in a band i have a spider II and our lead guitarist has a spider III both the 2x12 versions. Their great middle amps like if ur above a beginner amp but dont have the cash for a half stack. They go quite loud and still stay clear. Would highly recommend getting the pedal board just cause it makes it a lot easier to switch channels. We use the amp for shows and they are perfect for small venues like music halls.

Peavey Bandit 112 for that price. Spider's are semi-ok practice amps for the cheaper ones, but why dish out 300 when you can get a much better quality and sounding amp.

lmfao no.

that's funny

spiders are one of the ****tiest amps I've ever heard next to a MG.

Oh the reviews...

"I am a perfectionist. Looking for the perfect tone and no doubt that this baby comes close."
Since when do perfectionists find something close to the perfect tone with a spider?

"I bought this amp about 6 months ago, and I couldnt be happier. It is an awesome amp."
Give this kid a month or two, and he'll be off it shortly.

"At first I was very happy with this amp, seeing as it was my second one. Then my ears began working and I realized the tones are not even close to the names they say they emulate, and the distortion completely drowns out the note, which is a huge problem when you go to record with it. To all the people who praise this amp, go play on some of the brands that Line 6 is TRYING to emulate and you will realize that you have 12 amp models that sound bad to any mic and preamp."
And finally, someone who understands what he's talking about.

If this doesn't sum it up for you TS, I don't know what will.
The spider series aren't good. Okay, so they're alright for practice amps at low volumes. But they're so overpriced. You can purchase a good second hand tube combo for the money of a spider.
Signatures are overrated.

So? Pedals don't do much on a modeling amp..
Signatures are overrated.

yeah pedals kinda suck with modeling amps in my opinion.
get a nice tube combo, if it doesnt have enough gain usse an overdrive.
