I have to do an interview or an observance for my research paper, so I figured I'd just survey a bunch of people. So, if you have the spare time(which I'm sure you do if you're even here right now) could you answer some questions for me?

On a scale of one to ten, how important is...
1. Having dinner with your family
2. Having a nice house
3. Having a nice T.V.
4. Getting a high paying job
5. Being satisfied with your job
6. Having a nice car
7. Being respected in your community
8. Having a gaming system
9. Having a new cell phone or mp3 player
10. Attending religious services
11. Having a successful marriage
12. Stylish clothes/hair/accessories/etc.

13. On average, how much time do you spend on the internet daily?
14. How much T.V. do you watch weekly?
15. How much time do you spend with your family daily?
16. How would you define the American Dream, as it is today?

Thanks in advance to anyone who does this for me.

Oh, and if you could include your age and sex that would be helpful.

10 being the highest. sorry, forgot to clarify. Hope everyone assumed that though...or else my data's gonna be messed up...

And I'm trying to support my claim that Technological advancements have redefined the American Dream by leading our collective value systems toward more materialistic ideals.

16. How would you define the American Dream, as it is today?

The American dream is what the media and entertainment industries trick us to believing in. We want hot women, 40,000 dollar cars, mansions, and enough extra cash to go to the Bahamas for a month every year.

The reality is most people live the American nightmare, just trying to get by working 2 jobs to support kids because their parents are divorced and someone isn't paying child support.
