i have a 7string but i don't really know how to drop it to A
i recently got it

here is the standard tuning for 7string
(low) B E A D G B E (high)

right?

which if i dropped it to A

this is what the tuning would be if i wanted drop a
low- A E A D G B E -high

but what i dont really know is how drop A sounds.

i mean ive heard bands in drop A.

but when i got my guitar i had in it standard tuning which my top string was in E

can someone send me like video or a sound or something to heard how the top strings would sound

please thanks.

i hope this thread made sense

tune your low B down a whole step, and you're good to go

The seventh string should be an octave lower than the fifth string. If you have ever tuned to Drop D by ear, youll know how to do it. Pluck both at the same time, and tune down until the notes match.

if you have the guitar tuned normally, you will be in B standard tuning, to get to drop A tuning, tune your low B string down two frets
