I noticed that my upstroke seems stiff, especially at higher tempos. How can I resolve this problem? Just to let you know, I'm not anchoring and I'm trying my best to have even strokes.

Make sure you use your fingers as a big part of the stroke. That will make it more fluid. Your wrist and fingers in conjunction should make a very easy movement.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm explaining masturbation.

lmao

i found that the song 'blue orchid - the white stripes' helped me with up picking
it does feel really foreign but practice makes perfect

seems hes up picking for most of the song, tho anchoring, which i dont really recommend, but to each their own http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9FtbbNzBs8
