alrite so i wanna get my blackheart samples up here for people to hear what it sounds like. i want to know what it is yall wanna hear. keep in mind if it's a style i dont play you might wanna suggest a band and song for me to either play or sound like. i'm not a seasoned vet on the guitar but i think i could pull it off half decently.

also keep in mind i hardly play other bands songs anymore other than the ones i already know. i'm thinking i might play a little of my michelle on the sample so you can hear the GNR tone i use. if wanted i can also do a lil "killing in the name" for rage fans. i play mostly hard rock style w/ blues type riffing and bluesy lead work. give me some ideas.

i hope yall get what i'm tryin to ask here. this should help people determine if the blackheart would be a good 5 watt tube for their needs.

OH and also, since i might not be able to crank the amp due to other family members, i'll use the bad monkey for anything that has to get heavy. i also have a nice vox wah pedal and a digitech whammy. there you go, make suggestions!

Aww... Tell your family to go away for like 15 minutes.
And crank it all the way, then use a clean boost running into it.

I dunno, just do what you want. I just want to hear another on.

alrite i guess that shouldn't be a prob. i just figured since people occasionally contemplate buying the blackheart and not know for sure what it can do.

^ Yeah, and some br00talz if you can get them. I mean just some generic palm muted E power chord chugging with the occasional riff and pinch harmonic.

alrite well i need to re-learn the master of puppets riff. and i can work on some 'brootalz' style metal. though remember this amp is british voiced not american, so it's not gonna be nearly as dark sounding.

alrite guys i'll do so. i'll explain when i AM using a pedal and when i'm NOT.

new tubes will be a MUST. there's only two tubes so i can really get some nice ones w/o spending a bunch of money. this is gonna be my mini-marshall.

I was under the impression that British amps are voiced darker and American voicing is more bright and chimey.

Anyone want to weigh in on that?
#16
well i'm talking about the distortion, not the cleans. it seems the opposite on cleans. but american voiced gain is much much darker. while the overdrive/gain on tube amps is slighlty brighter and trebly/midrangey. according to my ears anyways

yea i've had the hardest time w/ youtube for the past month or so. it will sit on the uploading video screen and spend half an hour uploading....and it'll NEVER finish loading it....i can't figure out WHY!!!

it's very annoying. i also tried google videos and it was the same way.

the file sizes aren't that big either.

i have a short clip w/ it clean and then higher volume on the 3 watt setting giving it a nice breakup type sound. that and some wah thrown in. had to stop and study for exam tommorow otherwise i'd have a lot more stuff. but i can get to that tommorow i'm sure

MY only dilemma is getting the videos to actually upload on youtube...

dude - my absolute favorite song off Appetite is 'Think About You' - i know kinda gay, but i like the contrast with Slash and Izzy. And drums.

Or - if you could somehow pull off 'Orion' off masters you would be my absolute newest hero.

Ha, kinda kidding there on the last one, but i'm working on it too. Not intro so much as the keeping a constant tempo and alt pick stuff.

EDIT: only kidding on Orion part not newest hero, as you are alreay that!

GO!

oh, and if it is easier - just upload something direct to Profile and forget video and then check your PM's while you are there. LOL

ok - here is a little tid bit. not sure how will this will work as it is very late and i'm having trouble conentrating. let me know if this works or if you can hear it.

i wasn't planning on posting anything until i improved but felt compelled tonight to figure this out (i think i got after downloading fame_enc.dll or whatever.)

PLEASE PLEASE take it easy on me as i'm still new to all of this, but i thought i would try and at least share. WARNING - very digital as it is strait from pedal to audacity.

Note:

Digitech to PC - 2007 Flange example (03:19)
just ex. i did without amp from RP250 to PC using Audacity. Commet please but understand it was 07 and 1st started - very metally and tinny, sounds much better thru Delay setting or strait to amp. still workin on it. Little Eb bass intro to warm up to 12th fret but i like doing triplets in the 5th,7th,9th,12th frets & up/down strings/neck. EVH at end-cannot do dive bombs with this guitar so i did a cut/paste at end but that is the only edit or mod to it. just slowed the tempo down on pastes.

Otherwise - check my MP3s in profile - later, i hope you enjoy (to some degree LOL)

alrite i only have one lil clip atm. it got really late and i had to study so i didn't have much more time. i will get some clips up today however, and use the audio extracter if that'll work.

oh and about the RM50, i only have one thing on youtube for it. under "rednecks rock in flannel" this is more of a demo of the metal tone i was getting w/ it straight guitar into "Modern" module. that was before i switched to the Recto module.

i can't get anymore clips of the RM50 till i send it to Raleigh to get fixed. somethin inside blew on the pcb....so i gotta get it fixed

They have a great alternative/hard rock sound that is sometimes tight, sometimes noisy and sloppy. Depends on what they're trying to convey in the song, I suppose. Some of their stuff has really screamy vocals but, more recently, it's become more mellow and smooth. I think they're evolving and have become a bit less abrasive since Songs for the Deaf.
