i personally would advise peavey 5150 mk2 you can sometimes find them second hand for a really good price. on the other hand if you could get a valveking and a good pedal then its almost the same. my current setup is valveking112 and 2 distortion pedals, a boss ds1 keeley and an ibanez sm7. a good setup when volume requirements rule out the 5150.

used peavey 5150/6505 combo, they're the same thing pretty much, just the looks are different

used marshall jcm 2000 combo, the tsl is good stuff

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

Skip all the ones I crossed out. It's a Line 6 Spider Valve, BTW, not a Bogner combo. The AVT series is terrible, and you'll never get what you want out of a Vox AC15.

Listen to the Super Colossal clip in my profile. It's crappily recorded with one computer mic on us all...but all the lead guitar is on a Carvin V3.

Thanks guys! See I would get something used off the bay or something, but I really want to try it first. In the future I will sell what ever amp I get and buy one of the nice used ones you guys recommended.
