So, me and a friend are trying to get a list of songs to play.

Thing is, we don't have a vocalist or drummer so we have decided to go for the "instrumental" solution.

We are having trouble finding good sounding songs though...

Any ideas?

Thanks muchly

Maggot Brain-Funkadelic Good for Improv
stevie ray Vaughan-little wing if your good enough
Satch and Vai can be fun but again depends on skill level
And good ole Hendrix is always fun
I'd **** her so hard, even if she was a decomposing corpse... and I'd just dug her up... damn that'd be hot.

One: there's no such thing as an instrumental song, 'cause if there's no singing... it's not a song.

Metallica's To Live is To Die is almost instrumental. If you can recite a 15 second poem while playing, you could pull it off.

Green Onions
Older Santana songs

or just pick a key and make it up as you go. It's fun and challenging and very very good practice.

Get your bassist and drummer to do any old blues beat.

Then rip into a 2 bars shred solo (emphasis on 2 bars), then bend an extremely high random note and throw your guitar down. And walk off. Pure win.

Mhmm.

Probably my favorite Satch song.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools
