If I decide to get a Blackheart head but I want, let's say, a 200w max 4x12 cabinet so I can get a bigger head later would I be able to run the Blackheart through said cabinet?

Pro's (if any)?
Con's?

Yes.
though it'll have to do slightly more work to make the speakers move and youll never get any speaker break up but no actual problems

Also, can anyone suggest a good cabinet that doesn't cost a fortune?

match the ohms.

and what's ur budget, type of music you play?

edit: also, are you in a band? you might want to consider a 2x12.
just so much easier to tote around and usually more than enough.

when you say "match the ohms" i dont quite understand what you mean, but the backheart head has 1 4ohm input, 3 8 ohm inputs, and 1 16ohm input.
My budget would be ~$400 USD I guess, I play hardcore, metal, and deathmetal.

And yeah, I was looking at the avatar cabs, they look quite great.

just plug a 16ohm cab in to the 16 ohm socket

2x12 is a good move tho

avatar are nice amps for the price, i finally got a chance to see a used avatar.
for the money they are pretty good. seem sturdy enough.

when i say match the ohms, i mean if it's an 8 ohm'd cab, then run out from 8 ohms on the amp and so on.

as long as ur blackheart has all those options, you're all set.

also check out used. and check out 2x12's too.
i see some great deals on craigs list all the time. especially on cabs.
not sure ur home town, but it's a great tool if you are in a busy area.

nah, a lot of amps give you an option. i like 8 ohms.

but i would look at amp heads. get some ideas as to preference and check their ratings.

also, cabs can be rewired, to change their rating/sound.

still thinking about a 2x12 here, i dont think you talked about band use yet.

most heads will have a switch to change between
most 4x12s are 16ohms

well i dont have a band yet but i will be in one soon, so i want the 4x12 so i can get a 5150 or maybe a bugera later
but i want to get a black heart in the meantime.
i dont save money well.
lol.

So I'm gonna get a blackheart and a good 4x12, so i can jam with the other guitarist and get some writing done, etc..
then when we start gigging/ practicing with a drummer i will get a high wattage head and i will already have a nice 4x12.

Also there is a used avatar in my area.
