I was watching "Heavy - The Story of Metal" on VH1 the other night and in part 2; "British Steel", there was a riff that really caught my ear.

Link to the track ---> >link<

As it is used as background music it does feature some voices over it but if anyone knows this track they should be able to hear what it is nonetheless. So if anyone could tell me who made the track and what it is called I would really appreciate it.

I saw someone else had already asked about it in another subforum ---> >link<.
He said he would post the question in this forum but I haven't been able to find any other posts made by him except for the ones in the thread I linked to.

Thanks in advance.

who was speaking in that part?

Soundhouse founder Neal Kay and Music journalist Malcolm Dome.

...and, yeah, it sounded really familiar to me, too, when I first heard it.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunatly I couldn't find it on any of my Iron Maiden CDs, but perhaps it's on one of the newest, I don't know...

Lame. I misread the title as "Need help identifying a rack."

Well that definitely isn't Judas Priest or Maiden. Sounds at least 90s to me.

it's not maiden, it's too distorted. sounds kinda nu-metal to me.

Thank you for replying. After listening to it again it really reminded me of Papa Roach for some reason, but going through their CDs I wasn't able to find it either...

the riff is built like a maiden riff, but the distortion does sound like breaking benjamin or one of those bands
I think therefore I shred.
