Is it possible to rent an amp for a show from a music store? Battle of the bands is on Friday, and all I have at my disposal is my Spider II 112. I was gonna borrow a Peavey XXX but that fell through, and I can't find anyone else with a decent amp on such short notice. So does anyone know if Sam Ash, GC, George's, or whatever would rent out an amp for a fee just for one night?

I don't think samash will let you rent them.
What if you buy it, then return it the next day?

Some places will rent an amp, but Guitar Centers return policy is great. You can buy an amp, use it in a show and return it the next day saying that you didn't like it.

That's... actually not a bad idea. Do you think they could tell if I used it?

well you can explain to them, you didn't like the tone it had with your guitar when you used it.

Well they expect you to use it a little. You do have to play it and such.

Just don't get beer spilled on it or anything.
