well i just saw this movie, satan's playground, and it was unbelievably stupid. it tried to hard to be scary and completely failed. so since i don't watch a lot of "horror" movies, i'm asking you guys: are they all this stupid?

anyhow, no not all horrors are stupid.
some are more mental thrillers, which i find are mroe intelligent
but sometimes the stupid ones are fun.

Most the new horror movie sucks, older ones have a grittier feel and are much better. I am tired and can't think of any, Night of the Living Dead is good.

the only horror movie i've ever seen that i thought was okay was "An American Haunting", and that was because it wasn't violent, and it was more of a comedy imo. i like funny movies. "The Mist" would've probably been good, but i just hate seeing violence.
