I'm trying to run a program, but it won't.

I've already added it to the DEP exception list, which was suggested by another forum.

Anyways, here's the error:

I really need this software to work.

Thanks to anyone who helps, in advance.

Log on as admin and try it.

I am logged in as Admin already.

Well my account has administrator access, if that's what you mean. It's the only account, except for the Guest account.

haha why are you so secretive about what and where the program is?

What operating system you on? I cannay quite tell from the pic.

Right click the program and there should be the option to 'run as administrator'

try that.

the file's only 34.8KB large. are you sure it's a proper program and not just a virus?

No, I'm sure it's the right thing. Although, AVG does detect it as a trojan, but I know it's not. It's a common problem with this sort of program, and I'm not the only one who's having this problem, but it worked for some people.

I think I used to have this error with some application files, but I didn't resolve it, I just formatted a short while later

If you right click the file, is there an "unblock" option?

I get that all the time with my.... "cough cough".... programs. You just need to shut down the antivirus, and I mean all processes cease, then download that file again under a different name. In your antivirus, put the file under "Exceptions", and it SHOULD work.

Matacumbie your the best man, I solved the issue, when I downloaded the file, I scanned the file with AVG a Virus was shown but I ignored it and I did not take any action against the file, I let it be. Apparently it did something not allowing me to access it. I didn't know how to disable AVG other then, going through System Configuration Utility, so I uninstalled it, and guess what it works now. Now my question is, can I reinstall AVG if I want to keep running this file? It's really not harmful to my machine, but I am gonna check with some experts on that shortly. So in recapping, I could not get this file to run with the exception of running it in safe mode which meant some file in normal mode was preventing the execution of this file, it basically was a process of elimination. I uninstalled the following AVG Free Edition, Spysweeper, and Zone Alarm, but it was AVG Free Edition that was the culprit.

I assume that you've seen this thread.

I know what kind of program that is you are trying to run, and I also know that if you can't even solve that simple problem by yourself you probably don't deserve that kind of program.

Looks like I deserve it, because I solved it.
