I'm putting a tiny little speaker into my case to serve as a means of practice on the go (roughly 2" to 4", or an oval shaped, speaker).

Does it need battery power? (I'm thinking of course).
And how would I wire it to the 1/4" jack?
Would I need any caps?

Thanks!

You need an amp to go with the speaker. check out runoffgroove.com and look up Ruby and/or Little Gem. They're 1/2 watt and 1 watt amps just for stuff like this.

EDIT: And judging by your questions, I'm assuming you have no idea how to read a schematic, so decide which one you want to make and I'll draw a pic for you showing how to build it (using pictures, not symbols).

Thanks, I remember seeing that a while ago, didn't think much of it at the time.
