any recommendations for a good chorus pedal? i play heavy/ambient kinda stuff (tool, deftones, APC, mars volta) if it makes a difference...
cheers!

I thought the Visual Sound H2O was a great chorus pedal, and it even has delay as well (The Mars Volta REQUIRES delay).

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

A Boss Super Chorus would be a good, basic chorus. Visual Sound has a nice chorus/distortion box, and they sell the chorus part seperately as well. See if you can try it out.

EHX Small Clone is the best out there IMO.

as for Phasers I like the EHX Small Stone.

EHX Small Clone is the best out there IMO, and the Phase 90 is not a chorus pedal, it's a phase shifter.

I really like my Boss Super-Phaser (PH-2). The Phase 90 is good and the Small Stone is good as well (Electro-Harmonix makes IMO the best pedals...aside from botique pedals).

hmm well the H20 is a bit too pricey... anyone had any problems with the EHX Small stone/clone pedals?

The Small Clone is one of my favorite chorus pedals. Also check out the boss CH-2. Very nice vintage chorus.

For Phaser, for your taste the Small Stone would work very well. But a HBE Psilcolybe would be awesome.

the small clone is one of the best chorus pedals ever made, and the reissues are very good

for chorus, the MXR stero chorus is the best bang for your buck you can get. same thing with the phaser, Mxr Phase 90. dont get pulled into that EVH Phase 90 crap.
the little switch that magically transforms it from block logo to script logo phase sounds is just a pile of horse sh*t.

check the stero chorus and the phase 90 at:
