I need to start learning a whole lot of peices for my music class.
im in year eleven and my teacher has asked us to preform two pieces in a month or two, that we could use as our hsc peice.

not only do i want peices that score high on my hcs, it is always good to have an interesting peice that people will find impressive and that i find musicaly pleasing.

so far i have learnt drifting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4

and a classical version of black orpheous. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0oo38yaixA

do you know any that fit those specifications.

i heard there was a really nice classical version of stairway to heaven floating around, but i cant find it.

anything impressive?

thanks heaps.
thanks heaps. thats the one i was looking for. =)

so anyone know any good classical pieces. ones that people will find familiar.

would the "candyrat" guitarists songs get me a decent score on thy hsc?
Tommy Emmanuel's version of Somewhere over the rainbow. Someone played it at encore, which is a show at the opera house where the best of the best play what they played for their HSC.
thats heaps good. but the start with the harmonics looks awefully hard. not that im afraid of a challenge. but woah.

what about his "classical gas" is that very hard to learn?
