Is there a commonly accepted "best" wah pedal? I don't really know anything about them, don't really know where to start.
#3
yes, crybaby is the definitive cry-baby
but plenty others to choose from
weeping demon, bad horsie to name a few

heck yeah its gonna be heavy its gonna be in Drop A tuning and the opening line of the CD will be like Worship god

and then the pope just does a freakin brutal breakdown

If your just getting the standard one it's gonna be about 75$? someone correct me if i'm wrong. Just guessing

Crybabys are really not the "best" wah, but its a good place to start. Get the base one and you'll most likely end up modding it later. Also check out Vox wahs which can be had for around $100, I prefer the vox's but am currently running a morley wah I picked up off a friend. Morley has a few cheap models I think.

I have an original dunlop crybaby and it is "ok' at best. I am planning to mod it so hopefully after that it will have been worth the 70 bucks. Try em out and see what you like. If you don't like any then look at some modded wah's and see if they fit your style.

Gibson SG Special Black

Is that mega wah thing actually any good?

I listened to the soundclips and it sounded like a big ol' turd to me.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?

I'm going by what I read. It sounds good for stereo stuff and whatnot, but that just seems boring to me.

Yeah, boring is a good way to describe it. It sounded like the wah on a multi-fx unit to me, very digital.

Whatever wah you get, seriously consider getting used. I got my Budda Wah for $60 on ebay!

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

I am thinking about buying a Weeping Demon, I want a pretty nice pedal not just an original Crybaby. What do you guys think?

Ibanez RG2EX1

Some people here don't like them but I would recommend the weeping demon. I tried out the Crybaby and the v847a also. I like the weeping demon because you can adjust your tone and your range and make some unique wah tones.
