I haven't listened to too much new music this year, not saying modern music is bad, just haven't really indulged in any of the newest stuff, but I just got Flobot's album "Fight With Tools" and it's pretty amazing. Very interesting type of music.

Technically an EP but Agallochs "The White" is the best music I've heard released this year.

Also The High Society EP by the former King Adora guitarists new band (also called The High Society) is rather awesome.

Alchemy Index II for me. (Thrice)

Air is a wonderful CD. Earth isn't as good imo.

Meh. Bodom have done a Metallica IMO. Started off heavy and dirty, with the first few albums bordering on epic, then going more mainstream (obviously to make more $$$ for their retirement - which I do not blame them for) and making good music, but not as good.

I don't know, maybe Formation Of Damnation by Testament, but I have only heard it in their myspace.

Can't you just wait then?

I'm gonna buy a copy, DEFINATELY.
Maybe two, just because it's that good, and because it's been leaked so early.

After The New order, I don't like what they've become.

Well so far it would have to be Bullet For My Valentine's Scream Aim Fire but I can't wait for the new Opeth album. It should be great!
#31
Haven't actually heard anything yet that's been released this year. I'm waiting for the Opeth and Evergrey albums tho, look set to be epic.

Yeah, I like their earlier sound better too, but it's still better than most of todays garbage.

i've only bought the new Raconteurs album, and it is awesome. I have heard some In Rainbows by Radiohead, but not the entire album.
Oct. 20th, 2009: New guitar AND front row for Mars Volta.

Is that a ukulele in your pants, or did you just rip ass to the tune of "Aloha Oi"?

I met Sonic Youth on June 30th, and Mars Volta on Oct 20th.

Describe it for me.

"The busiest guitar stuff we've ever done!"
"We're bringing back some of the screaming from Ascendancy."

And like, they're just using the best parts of all the albums, and they said that they'd been technical for being technical's sake before, and now they're not gonna underestimate simple songs, etc.

I just can't wait for new Trivium! ^_^
