This is a song about death. C4C. Upon a burning boat

My spirit unchained, it shall roam free
You'll never define this clarity
And when I die
spread my ashes to the heavens high

Coz lightning always strikes twice
Through the valleys of demise
And when I die send me on a burning boat
Then weigh it down so it cannot float

Arrows fall thicker than rain
Time for battle has come again
Falling into the arms of death
Think I've spent my final breath

Forevermore we ride
Odin on my left
And Sleipnir by my side

In the dark light the beast awakens
Quetzalcoatl shall be forsaken

Coz lightning always strikes twice
Through the valleys of demise
And when I die send me on a burning boat
Then weigh it down so it cannot float

Arrows fall thicker than rain
Time for battle has come again
Falling into the arms of death
Think I've spent my final breath
Raise your chalice my brother
Raise it high
To catch the fire that falls from the sky

Nice enough. I like the viking imagery, being from the north meself. Still, wouldn't Odin be riding Sleipnir, not by his side? Also, Quetzalcoatl doesn't quite fit in, him being an Aztec god and all that jazz. Still, I like it. Real power metal-y. As a matter of fact, I sort of feel like að fara í víking og höggva mann og annan.

Three stars out of four, with potential for more.
