I'm going to Guitar Center in about 10 minutes, and I'd like to know.
Which would be better for metal/hard rock?
An Epi Explorer or SG?
And yes, I'm definitely getting one of the two so other suggestions aren't really going anywhere.

I'm also buying a Tube Screamer and I play through a Peavey ValveKing 112.
This is our last chance.
Nothing Epi, only good Epi is a REALLLY high end, which still suck to.
Live Rig:
Ibanez Rg 150R w/ Duncan 59s
Marshall JCM2000 TSL60 Head
Mark IV Combo
Marshall 1960a Cab w/ Vintage 30s
Ibanez RG1570 Prestige w/ Duncan 59s
Jackson SLSMG Soloist
Currently in Ontario, Canada.

Try them both out. There's probably a Valveking at the GC, and you could take your Tubescreamer along.
Personally, I think Explorers are more metal, in looks and tone, but that's just me. If you're going to get something from the Prophecy line, go with the Explorer!
