Bugera 333XL if they have them up there in the U.K or maybe a Carvin V3 Combo, trust me unless you're playing stadiums you dont need a half stack.

probably worth trying some laney tube heads...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Doesn't a combo float your boat? You could get a nicer combo for the price, even a used Mesa F-30/F-50.

If you're set on a halfstack, go for a Bugera 6262 or 333XL.
If you can compromise on the halfstack then go for a used peavey 5150 combo.

Not in the Uk there around £1000.

I know it gets said every time, but there's precious little available...you're at the absolute minimum budget for a half stack and you don't really need one anyways.

I reckon the Bugera 333Xl COMBO is your best bet - there's no reason to worry about form factor, tone is the only important factor.

The head with a Framus 2x12 would be about £650.

Having said that the Laney GH50L + matching cab is £700, and I've seen a used Marshall JCM900+1960A cab go for £300, but there's no point obsessing over half stacks just for the sake of it - with your budget you can't afford to be choosy. If the best amp for you is a combo, and I expect it will be, then you get a combo.
Actually called Mark!
