Hey all, just wondering how many full songs you know? and how long you've been playing. Also maybe how many solos etc or parts of songs? I just thought of this umm maybe reply in this format?

Full Songs - 1 (Seen as i only have 1 ill tell you - Greensleeves )

Solos/Random parts of songs - way too many to count, maybe 20-30 ?

Best partial solos - Master of Puppets/Duelling Banjos/One/Enter Sandman

Been playing 4 months

Been playing for around 6 years and yea this is too impossible. I know and im sure many others can learn some songs in about 20 mins or less because they're easy, while others take some serious time to play. Too many to count!

Same here, but only two years.

I tend not to learn many solos, though, I prefer to write/improvise my own.

I know a lot of songs, I passed the point of being able to count em after about a year of playing (cuz I quit keeping the tabs for every song I knew). I don't learn many solos though, I mostly just get the feel for the song and a kinda idea of what I wanta do and figure out the key and just improvise most of the time. I only learn solos if it's something extremely memorable that you pretty much have to do it that way or it doesn't sound right. like Killing In The Name Of and Smells Like Teen Spirit and For Whom The Bell Tolls.

oh yea, I've been playing for three years.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
