hey. i feel like a noob for asking. you know when i play guitar sitting down i have no problem with upper frets. however, when i stand, i have trouble reaching upper frets on the thicker strings like a string and e string. my ifnger doesnt reach it much, i gotta stretch and i got a hand cramp once trying rofl. is this wierd?? what am i doing wrong???

You need to either have the guitar higher, or play only standing up.

maby your strap is too long...I do that too.
I can't reach them without my wrist hurting.
But I don't use those frets a lot anyway.

This is very common, and it's also part of why playing while standing up is harder than when sitting down, in general. It's simple, take a look at the angle of your arm/hand when standing compared to when sitting, and you'll see why it comes out wrong. Shorten your strap and you will see that the angle aligns much better with the sitting one, as you won't have to stretch your arm as much.

I had that problem when I started. Just start playing standing a little more often because it takes your muscles getting used to such as learning to play barre chords. Just like everything with guitar it just takes time.
