I really like the Taylor 312CE but I get the nagging feeling that with a expensive brand name I wouldn't be getting the most out of my guitar buying money. I've already got one Taylor and I love it, so perhaps I'm a little biased. I'm afraid to say that I'm honestly not that familiar with any acoustic brands other then Taylor and Martin, so I figure it would be wise to ask before I go out and buy something. I like more low-end sound, crisp actions, and it definitely should have a cut away neck.

Larrivee 3 series is around $1000. Seagull Artist series can be acquired for around that price too.
i gotta say takamine ef341sc....prob cuz i have one and love it...but not everyone likes black...i only wanted black, and it just so happens its sounds awesome too..its worth a try
