seriously, the beatles.

what didn't they do? I'm convinced they've got some unknown, unreleased death metal single too...
...Nothing you've ever...
...Planned on ever turned out...
...The way you planned...

...You're still disappointing them...

I don't know about most creative but I think Coheed and Cambria have produced some pretty cool concept stuff.

I'm just saying >.>

Maybe if I grew up around that time I would appreciate whatever they did, but to me now they're just another over-rated boyband.

TS, whenever I see your username, I misread it as "isuckhardcocks."

Just had to get that out there.

Creative or inventive?

bands liek pink floyd & led zep & jimi really pushed the boundries of rock music into werird places. Most classical or blues musicians just pushed the genre further along its current path. whereas crazy foo's like tom morello and john frusciante are hoping in hover cars and flying above and away from those paths, thansk to electronic capabilities.

tl;dr: Obvious choices are obvious.

Pink Floyd maybe? just for pure trippy...ness. Or the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I can't really remember anything they did but they're inventive? I havent heard anything that sounds like them so thats inventive i guess.

Dionysos, they're just incredible. I mean, The Beatles are great and innovative but they're always going to be mentioned.

Also, David Bowie. Mmm.

I like Say Anything for rhythms and stuff.

But Jack's Mannequin for melodies. Because their music is simple and yet it all sounds different and the melodies are just ****ing amaizng.

Probably Queen.
They did EVERYTHING.
Rock, Hard Rock, Swing...
Just listen to "Queen - Prophet's Song", "Queen - Bicycle", and "Queen - I'm In Love With My Car".

Oh and "Bohemian Rhapsody". I never heard someone as versatile as them.
