Ok so if i put my standby switch on, and unplug my guitar and switch some stuff around - say hook up my distortion pedal and such - is that ok? or does taking the load away affect the amp in any way. Ive done it a few times and nothing seems to happen. i just wana make sure im not making a mistake. Thanks fellow UGers.

You could probably turn it up to 10, yank the cable out, and not damage anything.
