Well my favourite type of pick would be the nose.

But if if you are refering to the plectrum it would have to be a Jim Dunlop .88

P.S. please use correct terminology next time

The fact that you have such bassist pride makes me wonder something, Alan. Do you even own a guitar?
#18

Not personally, but my dad has a classical guitar I fool around with every now and then.

Welcome back, by the way.

I'm not sure what brand they are, but they feel like a kind of nylon/plastic and they grip really well. I usually go for the thins.

I prefer those above all other picks.

Why, thank you

I don't wanna go back there.

Oh, and for the point of the thread, what I said in my first post only applies to electric. For acoustic guitar and bass, I use my fingers.

dunlop gel x-h picks for me.
people say they splinter and hard to grip but i love the tone they put out since they're so hard.

-orange or occasionally yellow dunlop tortex - electric

I'm surprised so many people on UG use such thick picks. I thought thins were more common.

Well, I prefer thins anyway, but that's just me..

I don't know, the average sized kind. I buy some Dickies ones at Wal-mart and they work out alright for me.

Dunlop Big Stubby 3.0mm

i generally don't use anything under 1mm.

i dunno why. i just like thick picks.

i think its because i have more control, and can pick faster and firmer. i dunno.

anyway, i use them and what i grab out of my local shops "12 for a Dollar" fish bowl of picks. gotta love it. every time i go in there, whether it be to look around or buy something, i always leave with 12 more picks than i had. i even grab some thins some times for my acoustic, or just to try out. or also, to make into key chain haha
