I am looking for an overdrive pedal for my Crate Palomino. I play mostly punk, metal, and hard rock. I would like to spend less than $100 dollars. Any suggestions?

or everyone could continue to make these threads

asking the same questions...

ts, could we get some examples of tone that you'd like? there are several alternatives to the tubescreamer, but most are very similar -
ts9
ts808
ts9dx
greenscreamer
maxon 9 (?)

I would probably suggest the ts9 to push your overdrive further, but it'll have to be pretty damn loud before you get anything 'metal'.

A sticky would be a good idea, but too few people already actually read them.
