Yo Indian, what's the quality of those OLP stinger copies? I would suggest those but I haven't played one

They're pretty solid basses. I liked them when I played them. How many frets do they have, though? I thought they had as many as Fenders do.

I dunno, but they seem okay. You'll have to ask someone elses opinion.

And t3hrav3n, I'm gonna guess that having 22 frets is one of the non cosmetic similarites an OLP would have to an Ernie Ball

For 800 USD you can easily get a SUB MM. Ernie Ball has stopped making them but as Miss G. found out, you can find them still in shops and on Ebay. Hell for 900 USD, I actually bought my honest to god EBMM Stingray, so there are deals out there. Skip the OLP market and start looking used.

OLPs are decent for starter basses--they're really not a "upgrade" bass IMHO. OLP < SUBs < EBMM. However, the gap between the the OLP and the SUB is quite significant.
