**** Pit, do you guise think I can make an 11 mile bike ride? I can usually bang out an 8 mile(4 there 4 back) round trip in under an hour with the only rest inbetween being me walking in to the store and buying drum sticks. I figure tacking on 3 more miles is do-able in this situation because once I get to where I'm going(practice) I'll kinda get rest(drums aren't that exhausting).

My fear is that I'll get tired and end up just having to walking all teh way home. =[
Just because I play the drums doesn't mean I suck at guitar, or ams that I's iz stoopidz.

I have no opinion on this matter.

Make sure you're hydrated. You don't want to end up like me and think you're dying over such a simple matter.

I'm an absolute fat ass and I've made a few 40 mile trips. A few summers ago I biked 20 miles most mornings, I intend to do the same thing starting in a few weeks now that my classes are out. If you are used to 8 miles, 11 will be absolutely nothing.

Just make sure you don't eat chicken and gatorade at the same time, then exercise.

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

I've done 20 miles a few times before but that was last year. If I did it now I'd probably die or my legs would fall off

Agreed.

I hope I'm well into my 80's before 11 miles is a problem.

11 miles wouldnt be too hard, just make sure your bike is in good working order, if it is binding and hard to pedal it is going to be obviously more difficult

yeah, i hadn't ridden a bike in years until this semester, and the first time i did i went about 20-30 miles at night all throughout the city (Hollywood/Los Angeles) with about a 100 to 200 other people (Midnight Ridazz was the group and the ride). amazing fun and pretty easy to boot. and i now have a swingin' steel frame road bike because of that experience.

do eat well (by which i mean good, lean carbs and protein) a few hours before you ride and drink water, and it's no sweat.
