Specifically, poetry about standing up for what you believe in or facing oppression. It's for an art project. I've already got "First They Came...", but other than that I can't really think of anything (besides Rage Against the Machine lyrics )

So I ask you for help, Pit. It can be lyrics as well if you want, but I'd prefer poems.

Not quite what I had in mind, but you've just reminded me of a different poem on the GCSE English Different Culture module which I will use (Nothing's Changed by Tutamkulu? Afrika). Thank you.

Keep 'em coming?

You should read the poems in my sig/blog...

Nothing on your topic though

Infinitely helpful

I've read them on previous occasions anyway. I was banned and bored.

I added new since then, but it's still not helpful...I'm just plugging my own work

If you want an ego boost, post them in the S&L forum, don't derail my thread

Woody Guthrie. Guy was a famous folk musican circa WWII who famously had 'This Machine Kills Fascists' wrote on his guitar. You like anti-flag? Ring a bell?

Guy also wrote anti fascist poetry.

If you like folk, he's a great artist. No Guthrie, no Ochs or Dylan

People always twig when I quote his guitar I googled before I made this post just to make sure there was some of his stuff available, it is, so shoot.

I might check out some of his music whilst I'm at it.

I assume I'm not going to get many more replies...

She's probably complaining that he won't Skype with her.

What's the point of Skype when you're in the same country? Can't you just use the phone...? I've never really got that...

It's free.

Exchange of links and stuff. Sounds odd, but it's pretty awesome.

Also, multi way calls are awesome too.

Ohh, and Skype Jams.

I used to do it with mates, it lost it's novelty. Last summer I was making a podcast with some other hardcore forum regulars, words cannot describe certain moments of epicness

The entirety of AQA Anthology Cluster 1 is about alienation, marginalisation and power - take your pick from them, eh? "Blessing" could be used to say about the misuse of power and how we need to stand up against companies, and make sure that everyone gets water, etc.

Cheers mate! And my 'feel free to check mine out', I'm sure you meant 'do mine bitch, I didn't do yours for nothing', but it's alright Ahh, crit for crit

Seriously, we had so many adecdotes which were funnier than anything you've seen on the pit recorded. We lost all files (hours worth ) in a virus
