Ok, so I've decided for a while now that my next amplifier would be a JSX, but I'm torn between the decision of getting a combo or getting the head and a 2X12 cab. I've just started to play gigs in a band w/ my friends, and my fender frontman 15G just doesnt cut it

So far from the info I have compiled:

Pros of combo:
Cheaper(possibly?)
Reverb
All-in-one
Half power switch

Pros of head + cab:
Easier to carry around
I can add a 4X12 to it if I ever become world famous (ya right, I'm goin to med school)

If I chose the head + cab option, what would be a good cab for me to get? I play shred guitar, the typical vai, satch, and gilbert.

So now I leave you UGers, to discuss and help me with my dilema.

If your going to playing out a head and cab are easier to carry than a combo. Especially a 212 might not be my recomendation if it was a 412. I would think the sound should be the same.

Alright, I'm looking at avatar cabs, which type of 2X12 would you guys recommend?
There's vintage, traditional, and contemporary.

EDIT: Is there any difference between the 3???

The cheap one. Traditional special (which are mass-produced, compared to their custom, but same quality) closed back dual vintage 30s, which is $298 or something like that.
