so ive been looking to get new pickups for my ibanez rg550. im looking for a pickup that can deliver a brutal metal tone and a pretty good clean. mostly brootal though. i want a fuller sound that my stock pickups aren't giving me. and there bit dry sounding to. ive been looking at the Seymour Duncan JB-4 for my bridge and jazz pickups for the neck. I plan on using these pickups with my peavey 5150 combo. do u think they will sound good and give me the fuller tone i want?
equipment:
Esp EC-1000
ibanez rg550
Peavey 5150 combo

Don't get the JB for super hi-gain, get the distortion. the JB apparently sounds thin for rhythm.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
