so ive been looking to get new pickups for my ibanez rg550. im looking for a pickup that can deliver a brutal metal tone and a pretty good clean. mostly brootal though. i want a fuller sound that my stock pickups aren't giving me. and there bit dry sounding to. ive been looking at the DiMarzio DP220 D-Activator Bridge Humbucker Pickup and the DiMarzio DP219 D-Activator Neck Humbucker Pickup. I plan on using these pickups with my peavey 5150 combo. do u think they will sound good and give me the fuller tone i want? my guitar has a basswood body and rosewood fingerboard. my guitar has an HSH setup too with a 5 way switch. will it work with that configuration?
equipment:
Esp EC-1000
ibanez rg550
Peavey 5150 combo

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
