The one that doesn't suck.
The only reason Dylan's sucks is because, as a matter of well known fact, his singing voice is utterly terrible.
#9
Hendrix without a doubt

i think dylan is a good songwriter but not so good performer

the covers of his songs usually sound better than the originals

Dylan did say that Hendrix's version was the best way, so we know where his vote would go...
Keep the change, pimps don't jangle

Hendrix, its a more interesting arrangement, even Dylan says so. Ever since Hendrix released his version Dylan has preferred and played the Hendrix version.

I have to go Hendrix, even thought I love Bob Dylan a lot. This isn't a very strong lyric (I say that not really knowing what it is about :sad as far as I can tell, and it is very short so Hendrixes version is better with all of it's crazy guitar parts and stuff.

Dylan has the greatest voice of all-time I don't care what anyone says however this is probably the only Dylan cover I can listen to and enjoy well this and some Leslie West **** but I must say Dylan wins
#17
I honestly prefer Dylan's, but I like Hendrix's version as well.

Yea, I like Dylan's voice, but I absolutely love the solo in Hendrix's version. It's so orgasmic.

I agree, it's what sold me on it as well

You have just hit my all time favorite song as performed by anybody. I prefer to this particular point in time Dave Masons version. Particularly live. Neil Young's live cover is good to. Dammit I love them all. Don't make me choose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont mind Dylans voice, but the harmonica is a little whiny, in that version at least..
#27
Well they're completely different...dylan rewrote his right after hendrixes 'cause he was jealous. so his original original one verses hendrix's....ide chose hendrix's cause i lie guitar solos over harmonica solos

Haha, seems rather popular. Made it myself awhile back

Dylan, but my view will be biased on this. Don't get be wrong though; I prefer Dylan's music but Hendrix for sure is the better musician.

, I haven't been using UG Black for very long but now classic is so unrecognizeable and ugly to me it's unbelieveable.

I use black actually, I dunno why it was on classic there.

hendrix can play pretty damn fine, but i doubt he could write a song as good as dylan's.

I have no opinion on this matter.
#35
I prefer Hendrix's version because its more exciting and epic Dylans is kinda boring
#36
bob dylan even prefers hendrixs version because he plays the solos like it now. hendrix was the god of covering songs and his version of AATWT will always be superior no matter who covers it. RIP

a good song, definately. but that and bold as love are the only ones that i would think are on par with dylan, and they arent nearly as good lyrically as dylans songs. dylan is an amazing poet.

This is what makes Dylan stand out a lot more. His poetry is clever as hell, it's really nice stuff too.

His song writing abilities as shown by the album 'The Times Are a'Changing' is astonishing.
