I DO!
my gay math teacher tells me i need a 27% on the final to pass for the year.
i have a 57% in that class right now.
so that doesnt sound right
so i do the math myself
and turns out
i need a 93% on the final to pass for the year
so now im stuck studying nonstop for two weeks
about something that i dont care about!
how do u learn something that you dont want to?

Anybody rock at geometry and wanna help a fellow guitarist?
tell me how im supposed to be without you.

So you hate math because you suck at it. Hmm...

Edit: Shit, it's geometry? No offense man, but that's one of the easiest math classes there is.

It's not hard. I hate it, but I do it and have a 94 in it.

Try to use sentences to remember formulas and what not, but most importantly, give your math teacher head.

1. i have paid attention all year. i just dont get it.
2. i hate it cause i dont understand it, and i just hate numbers in general.
3. i need to learn trig, all the formulas and everything by next friday.

I have two A-levels in maths. If I did another year of physics at uni to finish my degree I could be a maths teacher. I like maths.

Im sorry. But theres no way you need a 97 to pass for the year. EOC's are weighted heavily. and Geometry is easy. i wasnt awake 1 day in that class, unless it was test day, and still managed a 88 for the year
people with large sig's are clearly compensating for something.

TRIG:

SOHCAHTOA - Shows the ratios of sine, cosine, and tangent

Sine (sin) - Opposite / Hypotenuse
Cosine (cos) - Adjacent / Hypotenuse
Tangent (tan) - Opposite / Adjacent

Essentially, if you're given an angle and a side in a right triangle, you solve for the other one. Let's say a 60 degree angle and a 10 length side opposite it, and you have to find the hypotenuse

sin(60) = 10/h
h = 10/sin(60)

Then, you plug it into your calculator.

------------------------------------------------------------------

That's basic trig, I can go more advanced, but I don't know how much your class covers.

thats just what my class overs.
thanks.

Yes, I hate math as well. I don't care how immature I sound when I complain either

Algebra on the other hand is a piece of piss.
TS, good luck.

Do you have the teacher telling you you needed the lower grade in writing or email or something.

Maybe the grades are shifted so that all you need is a 50% overall to pass or something.

Seriously, if you're that bad at math, why do you trust your own calculations on what grade you need more than the calculations your math teacher did.

Shouldn't you be doing algebraic demonstrations of theorems, their appliance in specific cases, homotecy, functions, etc?

You have the same age that I do, so I suppose you should do at least something similar.
I don't know other countries' educational systems though...

Geometry is like the non-math of all the math classes. Like, I hope this is the last math course you ever take because the frustration levels would be just too high if you took algebra II.
#36
I suck balls at math, and I managed an A in geometry. This situation is more than likely your own fault.
Try Algebra II for a good time...

I find math extremely easy for some reason. Just my strong point. Name some specifics and I'll see if I can help. As for the locust... wtf is a locust? I haven't had to use geometry terms in a while, especially ones like locust.
#38
i'm in algebra in 8th but i think that Geometry looks easy i've seen some of the lessons and stuff cause they were trying to move me up to geometry in 3rd quarter but i'm like NO! screw that i'll stick with algebra since i learned it this year so the finales will be easier. lol

Same here, I don't know wtf is locus...

May be "geometric space" or some misstranslation like that....
