ok i got a fender MIM strat and i want to put 6 spring in the back for the tremolo instead of the stock 3. would i need my guitar set up again?>
you can't pust six springs in the back. only 5. but, you may need to get it re-set-up

Why would you want to put 5 in the back? I thought three held the bridge down flat with the body, 5 springs would be like... Massive pull... Then again, what gauge string do you play? If it's heavier than normal and you want the bridge to be flush with the body, I suppose 5 springs would be better.

But yes, you'd have to either set it up yourself or get it set up.
