I am *points to username*

It's pretty cold and rainy, at least the part I live in. It kind of sucks. There's a lot of stupid people here and the local music scene is nonexistant and it's insanely expensive to go anywhere.

If you want to come, staying in the southeast (where I live) isn't a good idea because you'll probably run out of things to do in like 3 days. If you want a bigger city (big is relative here) go to Anchorage or possibly Fairbanks, and if you want the wilderness and bears and stuff go somewhere in southcentral or the interior.

Alaska is the most beautiful place on the planet. Anchorage and Juneau are amazing... Fairbanks is ok. I LOVE the Southeast, however. The Southeast is ridiculously amazing!

Portugal. The Man.

3rd best band ever is from there.

Portugal the Man is awesome. There are some good bands in Anchorage and a good band or two in Fairbanks. 36 Crazyfists, Portugal the Man, and a band called Nitengale are all from AK Fairbanks. They're all awesome!

I went to Alaska a year or two ago and as FleaBuc said it's absolutely gorgeous there. Plus you can catch and cook delicious salmon really easily and find huckleberry's and watermelon berries (think that's what they're called...) if they're in season. There are monster mosquito's but they weren't really aggressive to my surprise.

I live in Alaska but am not originally from here. You either love it or hate it. I kinda hate it haha. Between the -40 to -50 temps and darkness and having to plug in my car so it doesnt freeze, I'm just not that all into it. I wanna go back to Wisconsin haha.

But to help you out life up here differs. Kinda depends on where it is that your planning on living in Alaska
