I'm making my old Squier a rock machine (don't need soo many bluesy Strats anyways) and I'm putting in some GFS pickups. Here are my config choices:

GFS Power Rails in bridge, standard single in middle, GFS Lipstick pup for neck
GFS Power Rails in bridge, p90 in neck
GFS Crunchy/Fat PAT in bridge, p90 in neck
GFS Crunchy/Fat PAT in bridge, standard single in middle, GFS Lipstick pup for neck

I was looking for a good rock/blues tone, but capable of like metal and stuff. For this guitar, I'm primarily going to play stuff like Muse.

Thanks!

Well, I forgot about coil tap Then I'll make it Power Rails/P90 w/ a coil tap on the Power Rails

or any other configs would be welcome too.

Oh, I would have to route for any humbucker, but thats not a problem. It wont be that hard.

I know it's a single coil, but I prefer the sound over it more than SOME single coils.

If routing is just too much, I think I'll stick with HSS for that "versatile" config. Coil tap does kinda sound fake.

Only in neck for me, though. I hate any single in bridge.

I have a few Strats already, none are HH, so why not go with something different I say. I love lipstick tubes, but I want FAT sound.
