I would recommend trying out the Valve Junior by Epiphone notin but good news on that amp.

I'd say go for the Blues Jr.

It's easier to get Hendrix/Cream tones out of a Fender amp than it is to get SRV tones out of an amp voiced like a Blackheart, VJ, VOX, etc.

Although in my personal opinion there is no such thing as an amp being too loud as that is what volume knobs were invented for, so I'd still go for the Blues Junior but otherwise the +1.

Tho they are newer to the market, the Crate V5 would be worth a try if you can find one. The V18 I tried had great cleans with a little less lower end than the Blues Jr. As well the Epi VJ is a great amp too, just trying to add to your options.
