#1
While he Exchanges pocket change for city bus fare.
Solitude is inhaling midnight's freezing air.
He's been Walking the night in his worn out shoes
The scent of alcohol, following his every move.

He's never felt so alone.

The wind is calling out winter at this time.
Every blow sending several shivers done his spine.
He pulls out a cigarette for the walk home.
This is the only way he can keep warm.

He's never felt so alone.

(Terrible verse)
Ever since his parents succumbed to age
Music and whiskey have been his only sources of escape
His heart is harder than his frosted fingertips
He's never believed in love, that, he would admit.

He's never felt so alone.

As he exhales the smoke, he looks up at the sky.
The stars have never looked so bright.
He forces an uncertain smile and says
"We all die alone anyways".
