Hey guys,

I've got this Epiphone Les Paul 1956 Goldtop here, I'm trying to verify its authenticity.

My questions are as follows:
On Gibson's website, it doesn't say anywhere about serial numbers starting with an I, but according to the Guitar Dater Project website it was made in 2003 in Korea.

Additionally, when I look at pictures of Epiphone guitars on the Musician's Friend website, they all have Epiphone's 'E' stamped on the back of the headstock. My guitar has no such stamp, just a 'Made In Korea' sticker on the back.
It looks 100% real, all of the specifications/color match Epiphone's site perfectly.

Can anybody help me out?
Thanks

That actually did help, thanks. They talk about serial numbers starting with 'I.'
