Hello, all.

I'm looking for a book or two that will offer me a way to escape from the terrestrial leeches, mosquitoes, and 8 yearly meters of rain when I'm doing some field work in the wilderness of Papua New Guinea this summer. Nothing like Paradise Lost where I need to work too hard, but enriching, captivating, and pain relieving. Pretty much any 'genre' will be considered. Should be found in paperback form. No natural history explorations, please.
