So,
As the title says, I splurged my paycheck on putting a downpayment on a Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II.
It's looks and feels/sounds great, But i didnt have too much time with it.

Two questions though.

What Pickups are in it/What would you suggest as new pickups in the future for good cleans, But a nice dirty sound.

Also, What have you heard about this guitar/your personal experiences possibly?
Thankye.
Btw.
Im paying for it at a pawn shop.

My band's recording guy has one of these. The pickups sound good stock. I suggest using flatwound strings on it though, gives it a really nice warm tone for jazzy sounding stuff, as well as a few clean things as well.
Gear:
Ibanez RG7321 Seven String
Epiphone Iommi Signature SG
Digitech Scott Ian Black 13
VOX Valvetronix AD100VTH
Laney 4x12 w/Celestion 50s

Have you played it plugged in? Are the pickups that bad? I haven't actually had any experience with this guitar, but I am a Joe Pass fan, and can't help wondering which finish you got it in.
