I don't see a reason to make a guitar stand overly pretty when it's a functional item. Obviously you don't want ti to look ugly, but when buying a guitar stand, I would want to get the best functionality possible.

9.) Would you find a guitar stand with added storage useful?
[x]Yes

Hope that helps.

Even though you can do it yourself, I'm a sucker for a good questionnaire. *Cracks knuckles*

1.) Are you
[x]Male
[]Female

2.) Please select the group your age falls into
[]0 – 10
[]11 – 16
[x]17 – 25
[]26 – 30
[]30 +

3.) Which type(s) of guitar do you own?
[x]Electric
[]Bass
[x]Acoustic

4.) Do you currently own a guitar stand?
[]Yes
[x]No (If wall hangers count, I do.)

5.) If yes, please say whether you are happy with it and why

Keeps things tidy. They look hella cool all up on the wall, too.

6.) What material would you deem most suitable, in your opinion, for a guitar stand to be made out of?
[x]Metal
[]Wood

7.) What would you choose?
[x]Minimalist design, limited storage.....
[]Conventional design, increased storage
[]A good balance of form and function

8.) Please explain your reasoning to your answer to question 7 and also state what colour/finish (depending on the material) you would prefer.

The function is standing/storing your guitar. It doesn't need to do much else but keep it upright. A minimalist design with an unintrusive black finish and some foam padding would keep attention on the guitar, whilst still performing its task well.

9.) Would you find a guitar stand with added storage useful?
[]Yes
[x]No

10.) Have you ever seen a guitar stand or similar product with added storage as described?
[]Yes
[x]No

3. Electric & Acoustic
4. Yes
5. It keeps my guitar in an easily accessible place, and it holds it up
6. Metal
7. A good balance of form and function
